How To Unlearn Self-Improvement

(And other society’s conditionings)

Rewiring Yourself to “Truth”

If you’ve done something for a long time and haven’t arrive, it will be  best to “forget” everything you been taught.

As everything you been taught by society is garbage. It is not Truth.

This applies to any realm – Peace, Happiness, Trauma, Success, Mental Health, Mastery, Greatness, Relationship, whatever…

If you been involved in any “self-improvement community”, chances are you’ve picked up a lot of garbage that is completely unproductive, useless to your unique individual needs – and potentially worsening any of your existing problems.

For most of my 20s, I studied self-improvement from various sources – how to be happy, how to be discipline, how to be happy and discipline at the same time, mastery, success in life, entrepreneur mindset, morning routines, habits of highly successful, mindfulness, spirituality, mindsets from “x” athlete or how “x” businessman “thinks” or teachings from “x” guru.

Books, internet blogs, podcasts, courses, motivational videos, you named it, I tried it. I tried the meditation apps to mindfulness techniques to gratitude journals. I read all the books from Tony Robbinsons to Jordan Peterson, from Brian Tracy to Alan Watts, from spirituality to the more hardcore discipline stuff from David Goggins and Jocko Willinks.

Chances are if its out here, I’ve come across it.

It hardly helped me out. It probably confused me more because it all conflicted with each other.

(David Goggins and Alan Watts and a few others are genuine and sincerely tries to help people. The problem lies in the way the mind functions – its motivational, it is not visceral to create lasting change.)

Leaving Loserville offers something that is completely different than mainstream advice.

We tell you to seek TRUTH. Becoming a Truth-Seeker literally saved my life. It helped me put all the missing pieces of life’s puzzles put together.

Nowadays, I don’t need to learn any secret formula from “x” spiritual guru or from any ultra successful person, Instead, I create my own ways and is far more comfortable trusting my own intuition to what needs to come next than relying upon any external force.

This is how real progress is made… by trusting your own intuition.

Most of you guys biggest problems is not relearning but unlearning.

Examples of Self-Improvement bull crap…

Take “Mindfulness” for a example. It sounds holy. The goal is be present rather than dwelling the past. Whilst this sounds holy, it goes against the very nature of the mind. The mind cannot be tamed through meditation practices or any mindfulness practices.

In fact, you have added yet another bondage to your life as you now see yourself as a “mindfulness practitioner” that has to live up to that self-image.

Life will soon make you un-calm at not having arrive at peacefulness and create the anxiety of needing to practice mindfulness. Desire to be free from the mind is not freedom. Its more imprisonment.

The desire to be present puts you at odds of actually being present.

This is why mindfulness coaches are completely useless.

What is the truth? The truth is that human beings have problems. Whether it be involuntary thoughts, relationships, unsatisfaction from their job, etc.

They are looking to escape these problems.

The problem needs to be understood completely for it to go away. You don’t address high blood pressure the same with a migraine.

And because humans beings are reactive to their emotions, they resort to default comfort habits such as digital distraction, alcohol, socializations that will either not address the problem or may even worsen the problem.

Be fore warned. The person who conquers his mind is someone who’s willing to isolate himself from the world and dive deep into the life’s secrets. Life does not give answers so easily on the internet.

So if you’re in the process of learning from LL for the first time or rebuilding yourself, you will get far better results if you forget everything you’ve ever learned from internet.

And LL is not designed for you to improve. Its for you to  ARRIVE. That existing problem you have disappears completely.

Questions to deeper life gets answered. And thoughts melt into no-mind. That is when you begin to live in the present moment.

There’s some key things to Focus on:

1.   You are trying to arrive somewhere. Examine the methods you’ve been using and ask yourself if they’ve worked.

-        Have the productivity hacks made you disciplined?

-        Have spiritual practices made you present?

-        Have the therapists or life coaches healed you?

If not, why not? What is the truth?

2.   The Mind is acceptable to Conditioning. Why do people fall into mass movements, extreme ideologies, social and personal?

-        Brain Washing.

-        What you hear repeatedly shapes what you believe. Hear something often enough, and it begins to feel true.

Challenge your beliefs, perceptions and even the language used by those around you. We have been brainwashed for decades, myself included.

3.   There are N0 MINDSET. Thanks to the non-serious people offering advices that sounds “holy” and “good for you,” there’s a lot of rules and practices created.

“Meditate first thing in the morning,” “Adopt x’s mindset will make you successful,” “love yourself.” “System based productivity hacks.” Etc, etc.

-         In any realm that touches mind – mastery, relationships, leadership, success or trauma, there are no universal rules. Nothing of real depth works in a mechanical or formulaic way.

If spiritual practices were a guaranteed path to awakening, the world would be full of monks instead of people addicted to their phones. If the success books worked as advertised, there would be millionaires living on every street.

-        NOTHING works that way. The only way to achieving anything is to learn the TRUTH.

They fail because its not truth.

*

There comes a time when one grows weary of life. Fed up with the disillusions, of empty promises that never deliver.

When nothing ever seems to work. Truth becomes possible.

Unfortunately, most of you guys won’t get this until you tried everything else out there. I know I did. Nature works in a mysterious fashion. It only allows those in who are hungry, sincere and deadly serious.

~ Learning the truth begins with unlearning ~

The secret sayings

True transformation comes from the correct exposure. When spoken or written, the essence behind the words has the power to connect to personal experience, thus creating a living understanding, thus creating transformation.
